5. The present Ordinance does not contain any provision

the Act of 1914 arenacted by

based on section 7 A of the Act of 1918.

This is because

local naturalization does not appear to affect the Status of

the wife and children of the person naturalized.

Section 3 of the present Ordinance is based on section

13 of the British Nationality and Status of Aliens Act, 1914,

4 & 5 Geo. 5, c.17. As in the case of section 2 of the

Ordinance this section is also made to apply to the persons

whose names appear in the Schedule to the Ordinance of

1901.

7. In my opinion this is an Ordinance to which His

Excellency the Governor may properly assent in the name

of His Majesty and on His behalf.
